When Ellis Park was constructed in Henderson, Kentucky in the early 1920’s, it was modeled with the famous Saratoga Race Track in mind. Today, Ellis Park still runs a live Thoroughbred horse racing summer meet accommodating visitors of all ages and everything from novice to expert horse players.

To visit us, plan an organized visit with our Group Sales Manager, or check out our dining and seating options for an individual visit. Whether you prefer air conditioned dining or outside at-the-rail action, Ellis Park can fill your thrill for live horse racing.

Live racing begins July 4 and ends Labor Day. Each year the meet is highlighted by the Gardenia Stakes (GIII).

Year round simulcasting is also available from the finest Thoroughbred and harness tracks including Churchill Downs, The Red Mile, Keeneland, Santa Anita, Saratoga, Arlington, and Dubai Racing Club. Watch and bet on the races with a beer and a hot dog or enjoy our clubhouse dining room service year round.
